Friends’ School Lisburn 1774 Pavilion

We are delighted that the 1774 Pavilion has made it onto the front cover and as a case study in Perspective Magazine, Volume 33. Read the article by Kari Simpson here, with beautiful photography featured by Joe Laverty.
Principal Stephen Moore has this to say about the new Pavilion:
‘Working with Studio idir was a real pleasure. They were focused on the needs of the school from the start and I was impressed with how they engaged with us throughout the design and production stages of the project. The workshops they organised for our Art and Technology classes were a great experience for our pupils and it was fantastic that they were able to take inspiration from their ideas and incorporate them into the final product. The Pavilion more than meets the brief we gave of providing the school with both a functional outdoor performance space and a piece of public art that would help mark our 250th anniversary. It was wonderful to hear our music groups and ensembles play in it recently during our Christmas concert and it’s true to say that it has added a new dimension to school life.’
