RSUA Awards 2025 Rising Star

In May, Katie was delighted to receive the inaugural RSUA Rising Star Award at the RSUA Design Awards, this year held in the Ulster University Campus. This award was established to recognise the significant and often unseen contribution made by architects in the early stages of their career. Judged by a panel curated from the RSUA council and broader profession, the judges commended the ‘combination of creative excellence, leadership, and community engagement’ that Katie has already demonstrated in her short career. This awards evening was extra special to Katie as she shared it with colleagues Áine and Aisling, old school friend and architect Rebecca Aitken, and her mum Valerie.
