Balancing heritage charm with modern function, this modest extension transforms an original 1900s home to suit the evolving needs of a growing family. The exterior honours the building’s original character, pairing painted render with the existing warm red brick – creating a seamless, perfectly balanced dialogue between the old and the new.

Inside, the design maximises every square millimetre. By expanding the kitchen and dining area across the rear of the house and reorganising internal circulation, the home now flows effortlessly. We cleverly tucked a sleek new shower room and utility space off the main hallway, while the upper level was reconfigured to yield additional bedroom space and a revitalised family bathroom. Complete with tailored, built-in storage solutions throughout, this project stands as a testament to making existing architecture work smarter, harder, and to its full potential.
